A restored village property in a peaceful hamlet with beautiful west-facing views and spacious roof terrace.

This is a lovely property for anyone looking to move in straight away and create some additional outdoor spaces from where to enjoy the sights and sounds of the surrounding landscapes.

The house has been restored and there are some characterful living spaces, both inside and out, and the views from the roof terrace are very hard to beat.

    GROUND FLOOR

The main front door opens into a generous hallway or dining room and the accommodation spreads out in two directions from this reception room.

Up a couple of stairs, there is the first of the bedrooms, with access to the bathroom. From the bathroom, there is then a circular route out to a small inner patio that gives access to the kitchen and to the gym/Bedroom 3. The gym has loft-stair access to the studio on the first floor.

From the reception hall, there is a staircase up to the main first floor and a doorway through to the kitchen which, in turn, has a door to the inner patio. The kitchen is well fitted and has space for a breakfast table and there is a wood burner. Walk-in larder.

    FIRST FLOOR

The stairs that rise from beside the ground floor reception room give access to the roof terrace and the first floor accommodation.

Large bedroom with lovely views across the surrounding countryside. A couple of steps lead up to a very attractive and spacious living room with a beamed ceiling and lots of natural light.

The roof terrace is large and has views to the East, South and West and there is room for sun beds, a barbecue and a dining table. The views, particularly at sunset, are breathtaking.

    OUTSIDE

From the small patio behind the kitchen (that connects the kitchen, bathroom and gym) has a gate to a side garden area that could be enhanced to provide a lovely outside dining area. At the rear of the house, behind the first floor living room, there is an additional small garden area that could, again, be enhanced to provide another sweet patio garden with space for sun beds or a breakfast table and chairs.

There is plenty of parking beside the house and a parking space immediately outside the front door.

Buenavista is a tiny hamlet of a handful of houses, many of which have been restored and occupied by permanent residents. The villages of Moclín and Puerto Lope are very easily accessible and there are many splendid walks from the hamlet into the surrounding dramatic countryside. The west-facing orientation gives the most spectacular views of the landscapes and the sunsets, Here, you are surrounded by nature and peace and tranquillity without being completely isolated. The property is connected to mains/village services.

The BBC One programme, ‘Amanda and Alan’s Spanish Job’ was filmed across Andalucia throughout the summer of 2024. Amanda Holden and Alan Carr bought an abandoned village house in Moclín through Granada Village & Country, and the historic village was the main focus for the programme, following Alan and Amanda’s progress as they restored the property.

‘Amanda and Alan’s Spanish Job’ will be shown on BBC One in January 2025 and will be available on iPlayer.

The restored property will be available for sale through Granada Village & Country, and featured on Rightmove, at the end of the series.
